Yeah...my teacher, in an evil atempt to teach us how to write with outlines made us do an essay. I posted mine...and it isn't exactly what I'd call finnished, either, but who cares? I only finnished two paragraphs, when my dog ate the disk it was on. Tee-hee. Well, here it is!

Animal rights. The fight for the under-dog. The voice of the voiceless. Unfortunately, a road less taken. Those of us who really care know that animal rights are the key to an enlightened society, the key to the future. You see, as I speak, thousands of animals are languishing in cages, bleeding to death in slaughterhouses, and somehow managing to survive outside on their own. They need more than that. They need your help.

So, now I’ve got you interested, right? The first thing you can do to help the animals is go vegetarian, or even better, Vegan! One of the most horrid and cruel things in the world is the meat and dairy industry. Innocent lives are spent wasting away in cages so small they can’t turn around, being force fed steroids and antibiotics to make them unnaturally large, and finally being put to death so they can feed meat eaters. Chickens and turkeys (nuggets and thanksgiving feasts) are kept in giant, filthy sheds, and are bred to grow so big, so fast, that they suffer from painful bone and joint conditions. Some drop down dead from the strain the rapid growth puts on their hearts. The industry brags, "If a 7-pound human baby grew at the same rate as today’s turkeys (and broiler chickens) grow, when the baby reached 18 weeks, it would weigh 1,500 pounds."

I wonder why up to 33% of teens are obese, and only 2% of Vegan are. One explanation is that the fat and hormones in milk makes people obese, gives them acne, as well as runny noses. More than 70 percent of antibiotics used in the U.S are used on animals in factory farms- antibiotics keep them alive and growing through conditions that they otherwise would probably not survive in. Keeping meat and dairy out of you mouth will mean taking a whole load of weight off your shoulders-as well as your body, so go Vegan! You’ll save between 83 and 93 lives every year by just making that small sacrifice.
